Time to introduce myself - I'm shy. I've been quilting for about 3 years and live in So. Calif., a few miles from the ocean.

I did not go lightly into quilting. In fact, I went kicking and screaming . . . no I won't do it! But my good friend from Illinois finally prevailed. (Thanks, Rae.) I'm now learning to quilt. She convinced me it was the only way to use up all those scraps. I started with scrappy quits and they are still my favorite. There have been many quilt projects since I started and have given half of them away. Thankfully, I had the presence of mind to take pictures and keep a photo album. I'm enclosing a photo of my favorite quilt, recently returned from the quilter. It's the Prairie Star Promise, McCalls, 2006, king size. Sadly, I have not as yet learned to free-motion quilt. I hope you are able to view the photo.

This site is so much fun. I can hardly wait to log on each day to see what you all are doing and saying. I have to limit my time or I would never get any quilting done. Enjoy!!

Thank you. No, I didn't paint the flowers, although they do look painted, don't they. It's the fabric I was able to find with large flowers.

Hello from Ohio. For someone who "went kicking and screaming" into quilting, you do beautiful work.
