I am looking for a turtle quilt pattern that uses the Drunkard's Path pattern in it. Where is the best place to find it? Saw a quilt titled Turtle Mania using one that is appliqued. My sister is a turtle "freak" and wants to make this quilt really bad. HELP!!!! :?:

I think maybe the one you want is in the Quiltmaker magazine Sept/Oct 04 issue- it is called "turtle Stampede". It was designed by the staff at QM and uses the drunkards path block.If you can't find it, I will be happy to scan it in and e-mail it to you. PM me if you want it

The magazine states no pattern can be copied or reprinted for COMMERCIAL use without permission. I wouldn't be doing it for commercial purposes.

I'm confused I guess. I was under the impression you can not photo copy any pattern in magazines. I apologize for any misunderstanding.

The pattern is in Block Base...it is number 1479. It is actually a drunkard path with head and a tail....

Just to cover the bases, I have written to Quiltmaker explaining what I want to do and asked their permission. I am waiting for a reply. I don't want to step on toes!

I don't know what that Block Base is, but yes, it is the drunkard path with a head and tail. On Quiltmaker's web site, they have a free pattern for a stuffed toy using the same block pattern (although, alot bigger).
