It is a beautiful piece of work, I think that someone posted it right after the contest. This is the first time that a textile piece won, it is open to all sorts of art forms.

There was one sold in Melbourne for about the same price - so people should not under-estimate the value of fibre art.

Ann entered that quilt in "Art Prize," a huge "all over the town museum of art that lasts a couple of weeks every fall in Grand Rapids, MI. I live about an hr away and spent an entire day there and only saw about 1/4 of the entries! It's huge and just a wonderful way for all of us to enjoy art! Once I saw her piece I knew I was going to vote for that for the peoples choice. It is an incredible work...no picture can do it justice. And Ann Loveless is a very nice person who took the time to talk and answer questions for everyone came to see her piece.

Inspiring!
My pieces are getting bigger but I can't imagine working on a canvas 4'x5'. My new role model.

It is beautiful but someone has a lot of money to pay that.

Our guild was lucky to have her as a speaker and to get two workshops. She is a wonderful speaker with great slides and her techniques are easy and creative. I would pay most anything to get her to come again.
