Just got an email from Big Horn Quilts, these are some pretty batiks and they have other sales starting at $3 a yard, too.

Is it appropriate to mix batiks with other " fabrics" in a quilt .? or should you just keep them separate?

Yes you can mix them, remember it is what pleases you or who you are making the quilt for that matters. No quilt police :D I have seen a number of quilts and blocks here done with batiks and other fabric, too. I plan on using them with other quilting fabrics in wall hangings, furniture throws and I am redoing my bedroom with them also, quilt, wall hangings, and curtain valances.
