The Best of Show is raw edge applique and fabric ink to embellish color. Wonderful use of color.

Got fabric?
If you go to QB member Geta's site, she won third place in group quilt section. If you Google Geta's Quilting Studio you can see it there as well as a link to the other winners. I would do a link to Geta's site but somehow I always do a link wrong.

I saw the best of show at the Dallas show and it is pretty awesome
Beautiful quilts. Thanks for sharing.
I was thinking about the winner last night as I was waiting to fall asleep....is it a copy write infringement or not? Was it a fabric rendition of an actual photograph? Do you need the photographers permission? How about the glass artists permission? Hmmmm, does anyone know if it was listed on the quilt description if she had permission?
Wow thanks for sharing!!! I was thrilled to see 2 Canberra Quilters get an Honorable Mention, which is fantastic considering Canberra only has a population of 350,000.
The biggest risk is the one not taken
A Truly Feathered Star

of BAILEY, NORTH CAROLINA this one is the best as far my judging, love it
Freedom is costly and quilting keeps us busy...
Those quilts are beyond beautiful. Even though there are several that are not "my personal taste" you have to admire the creativity & workmanship. My favorite is the dog - I'm not sure, but would that be thread painting? I am not familiar with this particular type of work but that is what came to mind as I looked at it.
Dance like no one is watching
Thank you so much! I may never get to Houston, but I thoroughly enjoyed your photo's!
Wow! Thanks sooooo much for sharing.
