    this would make the perfect winter quilt...and heavy, thinking a lap quilt. Also I think you can use a seam ripper to rip the fabric.

    I bought a bunch of flannel last year from Joanne's for 1.99 a yard. I think I will try to make a baby quilt doing this method. Hopefully this will motivate me to clean and also use up some scraps to make a quilt top.

    I have one of those chenille cutters & so far have only made a potholder! I'd never thought of backing a whole quilt this way but what a good idea!
