It's the turmeric in the curry powder that they think helps. Now there are so many known things that seem to cause it and many of them are avoidable so we're learning how the disease can be preventable. Hope lots of the money raised goes to raising consciousness about the ways to prevent it.
As a nurse who adorable grandmother died of Alzheimer's and who has helped care for many other people with it too, I am often in touch with people and practices and the literature of it.here's a lot to learn and do too
Another art theme is the forge-me-not, a beautiful little flower - I did some courses in pottery and used to paint forget-me-nots on mugs and other pottery - it is a beautiful little theme - I guess it would take embroidery to include it on a quilt - or forget-me-nots could be the quilting pattern. The patient appliqué artists among us might be able to do the little flowers, but I'm not one of that elite group!!
