Yes! It is sad that we are losing our local quilt stores. A lovely one closed Saturday that was 35 miles from me. They had a wonderful variety of fabrics, notions, and patterns. The owners claimed it was due to problems with a lease, but I am wondering if they lost out too much business to a big craft store opening that has fabric. The quilt shop gals were always ready to assist you if you had a question. You won't get that at the big craft store.

We have one closing here too. She says she is competing against the internet and losing. Nothing like touching the fabric!

It's just sad! but of course, we all need our rest, also, I think it's very costly, everything just very high, fabrics, notions, utilities, just name a few, Big competition, I wish all of them the best of everything!
