I discovered something pretty interesting. Goodwill has an online auction at: shopgoodwill.com. They have lots of things for crafting, sewing, fabric, sewing machines, etc. Check it out.

I have purchased several things from this auction site. However, I only bid on items at my local goodwill. ..

My daughter works at goodwill shes the one who clued me on the website. I generally just bid from the closer ones so I can pick up my items, but did get a real nice Gingher rotary cutter and seam ripper set half price of a new set and that included shipping. sewing machines go for some high prices. There was a featherweight on there two wks ago top 50 item list due to the bidding on the machine

you are correct...and seems like other hidden costs-depending on what purchasing...proxibid is another good site, if you know what to look for!
