We were driving through Motgantown WV and I saw one on a barn just off Route 68! It was beautiful!

    Cool

Franklin Co, Kansas has started a barn quilt tour and I SO want one--that is what I'm asking for (boards, paint and strong back to "hang" it) for my birthday in August! At the Miami Co KS quilt show (last weekend in Sept in Paola KS--check out the website!) there will be a speaker from Franklin CO to tell us how it's done. Can't wait--but will at least until Sept when hopefully the temps are below 100!

I live in Owensboro, KY, which is in Daviess County. Our Barn Quilt committee started making barn quilts two years ago and already has well over 100 hung in our county alone. We're very proud of all their hard work and the barn quilts are gorgeous! Many of the Kentucky counties have barn quilt trails! Aren't they gorgeous? I just love coming upon one unexpectedly!!

I plan to use mine to cover an area on the barn where the horses lean into the wall and have made the tin tear! Two for one: a repair that looks great!
