    Thank you so much for posting this! I often see batting sold on line, but never buy because it is described by the ounce, and I had no clue how thick it would be! I have copied that info..it will come in handy!

    this was listed on the info -

    Recommended quilting distances
    (The minimum distance stitches should be from each other.)


    Polyester 2-4"
    Bamboo up to 8"
    Cotton up to 8"
    Wool 2-3"

    Is this correct? I have never noticed stitches 2" apart.
    Some days are diamonds, some days are coal - BUT God is with me everyday!

    Yes and no...it is a general guideline..but every brand and type has a quilting distance on the packaging or on the bolt, it is always best to go by the manufacturer's guides. Yes, quilts are quilted 2" apart, and much, much closer than that, too!

    thanks, Donna, I was thinking about the machine stitching not being that far apart - maybe hand stitching is 2" or more apart
