    Beaded Stilleto

    I saw on another site a very pretty beaded stiletto that I think many will like & received permission from that person to post here.

    I have made them with bamboo skewers, using large beads. That way, if the tip gets too close to the needle, it doesn't break the needle, just goes into the wooden point. I gave them as gifts to a beginners sewing class that didn't realize the value of the stiletto. They were not afraid of them because they knew they wouldn't break a needle

    Bamboo skewers can be found in the grocery store- try looking where they have the bbq/grilling supplies like charcoal and lighter fluid. (or maybe the asian foods aisle will have bamboo chopsticks you can also use). I have been wanting to make a "fancier" stiletto- I've been using the bamboo point tool that came with my dresden fan blade template.
