Is it me, or is there an error? It says to stack the 7" x 13" pieces on top of each other, right sides facing up (not together?) I saw them do this on Nancy's Notions and it was so the fabric angles line up without any problem. It does appear though you need to cut one set going from left to right and the next set from right to left so you have a variety of angles. and then to mark 2.5" on the top piece "coming in from the right hand side." Yet the drawing shows a point 2" coming down from the top right corner The show I watched said to come down 2" from each corner but it was up to you as to the amount of "angle" you wanted.. I am confused... If you google big blocks it shows a couple layouts for this block. This works great for a big patterned fabric with the corner block being an accent block. Tickled they offered it for free.

Check out "Sew Big Blocks" on google. This sounds like one of her patterns. I really want to make this block.

That is the exact same block as Maple Island's BQ 3 pattern, they just laid the blocks out differently. Not sure how they can get away with that. Not sure who came out with it first, but I know the BQ 3 has been out for several years as I bought it when it first came out.

iI saw this on Nancy's too and ordered it right away. Paid 6.99 for it!!! arrggghhh!!! now it's free???? But the thing is I can't get beyond the link up page to download it. It does seem to me they copied Maple Island's pattern or vice versa. The lady who was on Nancy's took credit for designing it. huuuumm??
