Yep. This isn't where I found the link I got the idea from but it will show you what I mean.

http://suttongrace.blogspot.com/2010...n-storage.html

I don't like all the boxes, tried the pieces of tubing didn't work for me,don't have the patience, have the bobbin ring which is great by the way,the bobbin tower great idea don't know how well it works but too expensive for me with all my bobbins.

So I figured I would try it. You can see the colors, they are not going anywhere ( I waved mine around in the air dropped it every which way.) It can be cut to any length you want, put in a box, hung like that woman did or just dropped in a drawer.
Yes there are tail ends, but if you put them in with the thread coming off the top and turn, the clippy part will catch the end.
And best of all they are cheap!! I love cheap!! I got black ones to try simply because that was the color I could find in a smaller package. They also have clear ones, white ones and other colors.
I got mine off ebay but I will tell you it came from SAM's club . So save the shipping if you have one near.

I won't be a bit surprised if someone on this board already came up with this though. :-)

If you could take this idea and package it for quilting, you could make a mint.
