I know that there are a few members of the board who collect chicken patterns and I had to smile when I saw this one. It looks like a cute wall hanging but I thought that the applique which was supposed to be felted wool would be awesome in cottons, too.

I forgot to mention that to get the applique pattern, you need to download it above the directions. It's written in adobe format, I think.

I got a catalog from Keepsake Quilting and they have a whole page devoted to chickens/chicken fabric--even the chicken wire fabric.
