Smile Comfort Doll Project

I don't know if this has been posted, but I just found it. I thought it would be a good cause to sew for and maybe you would too. One site has the doll pattern the other is the blog with other doll links. G.

I just made 85 of these dolls last week and will be sending them to Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota for use as they wish. Need to get some more muslin and will be making more soon--they go together very quickly and turn out so cute.

This is wonderful, and perfect timing for me! I will be working with our local rape and abuse crisis center and have been thinking about something for the women and children. Thank you!

I posted a thread on this with the pattern about a month ago. Great reminder! Brenda ROCKS for taking over this project. I think a number of QB members are making these dolls. They only take 20 minutes and are cute as buttons. 8 will fit in a standard 9 x 12 postal envelope and postage is about $6-7. One of the QB members donated some of her scraps for the dolly dresses which i am in prcess of using up. Here are some of my little ladies....
