Shades of the early 90s. I taught crafters how to make these at JoAnn's in 1990. We pinked our edges. The joke was that I was a fabric/apparel person, not a craft person.

We use to make these using toilet paper was it? Use to fold the toilet paper in half & fold around a wire coat hanger? Good way to make use of scraps tho!

I the late 70's we did these with tissue paper. We also did a Large snowman. We took chicken wire and made to balls, one larger than the other and stuck that paper in the holes. And yes, it was time consuming but turned out so cute. Put red tissue paper around mouth, black on eyes, and orange for the nose, and black buttons.
