Thank you, thank you for that link. I'd seen Eleanor Burns do a show using that technique, but when I went looking for the book at my LQS, they didn't have it. Can't wait to try it!

I think it was mentioned in JC's Sugar Camp Quilt, which is set in the Civil War era and has to do with the URR.
