    Disappearing Penwheel Quilt

Suz, I wonder if you have to be a member and signed in before you can download the instructions? I tried what you suggested but it did not work.

I made a block yesterday - while watching the video - and wrote down the directions as I went along - am not sure if I am allowed to post what I did or not - I would be delighted to share my notes if it is ok.

I made a couple of the blocks this evening and I can't seem to get my points to match, one did, one didn't. Also, I seemed to have a problem with getting the length of each of the 9 blocks to match each other. They seem to be a little less than 1/4 inch off (at least on a couple of them). I am a fairly new quilter and not done many blocks. I am sure this is all operator error so I guess I just need to practice some more!!

This block has a lot of bias edges. Perhaps the answer is the spray starch that has been suggested. Try this and see if it helps.

W7sue, I would like to see your notes. I cannot see a problem w/you sharing same with us. Of course, this is me talking and not the admin. Please try. If removed, please PM me and others who ask. Thanks.

I just finished my block, it was very easy to make. However there's too much bias and it stretches unless sewed very carefully. I think if I were to make a quilt, I'd make it like a regular churn dash block and make a small pinwheel for the center square.
