Default DIY Sewing/Quilting Table

I was surfing the Internet and found this link for plans to make your own custom sewing table. It looks very easy to do and CHEAP. So I am off the the local thrift store today to see if I can find a cheap table to customize. I think that it is covered with slick vinyl it would work well for FMQ.

Please post pictures when you get yours finished. I'd love to see it.

For sure. I have been wanting to make one for a long time but just could not figure out how to make an easy sewing machine support. What I like about the plans is that the machine support can be adjusted by the use of the bolts to fit the depth of your sewing machine.

My son made me one of these using one of those long tables that the legs fold up. I think it's called a banquet table. I bought another one to put in a L shape and it is wonderful for quilting. Lots of area for quilts to lay on.

Hi

I think that this is a fantastic idea, and can be adapted to any table. I think that I am going to a second had store today to look for a table to do this with!
