Are you kidding me! Now, why couldn't I think of that? I am going to try it today.

Does anyone know what size squares to use for other HST's?

Like if I wanted a 2" HST for example???

I tried the sample Jenny showed on the uTube video and I screwed up royally. The pieces did not come up the same size. I don't know what I did, but when I tried to sew the pieces together, I could not match the seams correctly. Any suggestions? Three came out okay, one was too short.

That makes so much sense - and it's so simple!

Boy that was terrific, sew easy! :-)
Then I got lost in some new FMQ videos and subscribed to this site plus another FMQ site. Was in a time warp for a half hour. LOL

WOW and double WOW. I will never dread HST's again. Now if I can just remember this until I get to the sewing machine.

Thanks so much for the tute and the website. Can't wait to see what else they have.

I tried it last night and made several in different sizes in no time at all! I made the tops for several pot holders in 30 minutes. Love it!

Gilla,
It sounds like one of your seam allowances was off or the
ruler may have slipped when you were cutting after sewing.

I made 25 pinwheels using this tute last weekend. It was super easy! Love her videos.
