Frog tape is the brand name of painter's tape. It's green. Any painter's tape will work. I use it for marking on the sewing machine too -- I lay a strip to guide my cloth along a specific width.

So has anyone tried this? What's the verdict? Is it pretty accurate?

I'm not making HST's right now for any project.

Jenny Doan also has a tutorial at the Missouri Star Quilt website. Don't need any frogs just press on the diagonal then stitch 1/4" seam on both sides and cut down the fold. Sorry, I don't link well.

Thanks so much for posting this. She mentions "frog tape" but I would imagine painter's tape would work just as well?

Pardon, but if you have dark fabric, you can't see where you're going to stay on that tape edge...
