Eleanor Burns
I looked up an EB video for another thread and went back to my email folders to the one in which I've saved EB's posts for her videos, and went through them. Marked several to check out again and one was this one:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i70s...em-uploademail
It's the Demise of Sunbonnet Sue & The Quilting Madonna. Ended up watching it--it's 32 min long! and really enjoyed it. Her sidekick, Sue, told about the SS small quilts she'd made and then told about her travels with EB, comparing them to what Madonna's would be like. EB is so much fun to watch! I use FF and have an add-on, Download Helper, so I save a lot of them.
The other thread was about her Four Sisters quilt and Wholeheart Mom asked about it. In the video on EB's site she goes through making the whole quilt.
Several years ago when I first got interested in quilting, I was taking a class at JoAnn's....on a table in the classroom there was a small plastic bag of scraps labeled something like "Eleanor Burns tossed these". The instructor said EB had been there and this was left over.....she gave it to me and I was awestruck! So naive! but I do like her! Sorry, I've rambled on too long!

I didn''t get hooked on quilting until I started Eleanor's Amish Quilt. This was in tHe mid-1980's. Her patterns have clear directions, usually multiple size options, and streamlined methods on most patterns. Her patterns work out and some from other designers aren't as accurate. I like knowing I can trust the directions.

I met her a couple of years ago and she is a hoot. After her presentation she stayed and signed books and talked to people. Very gracious although I'm sure she was tired. Then the next day she and her group were shopping at the local quilt shop.
