Default F&P episode

Watched it yesterday on our pbs station.....it is a new one featuring a pattern from their latest mag...twisted triangles...I looked at mag the other day at a hobby lobby and put it back, now I want it...road trip.....but of course will have to but the template from F&P too! But it does look like a fun way to use up odds and ends or "why" fat quarters I have accumulated.....

I know, I couldn't resist the new American Patchwork & quilting this week. It has a free insert for a Double Wedding ring table runner with a kind of hexagon center. Not sure if I will do it but it also has a nice article on Judy Niemeyer and a free project. Sigh, no I have too many projects to do before starting something new.

Tartan, which month of APQ were you referring to about the table runner? I have April 2015 and I didn't find that insert....

I bought mine at the Walmart in a plastic wrapper. It is the April 2015 issue and the insert is titled Twist On Tradional-Golden Wedding Ring Table Runner. Is is from Darlene Zimmerman (feedsacklady.com) she has designed acrylic templates to cut out the pieces but the insert also has the pattern pieces you can trace. I would trace the pieces if I do the table runner but I would probably buy the templates if I was going to do a whole quilt. I would post a picture but I think that would not be allowed.

If you clck on the link, then shopping, then tools and find the Golden Wedding Ring acrylic templates, click on the templates and it shows a picture at the bottom of the templates, it shows a runner with the hexagon centers.

Wow, sometimes it really doesn't pay to subscribe! I get this magazine and would have liked to try the pattern too. Maybe we should email the magazine and let them know how disappointed we are.

I think people who subscribe to a magazine should get the free inserts as well. Doesn't seem fair that a loyal customer doesn't get the same benefits as an occasional buyer. The last plastic covered copy I picked up in the fall at Walmart had the Color Me Happy crayon quilt I am currently working on.
