Default Antique Block Patterns

In a discussion someone was talking about antique blocks and where they originated. Well, here are photos of a mosaic floor from the 3rd or 4th Century that contain (at least I spotted) the following:
Irish Chain, Celtic Knot, Crossed Canoes, variation of Storm at Sea, 9 patch blocks, and maybe flying geese.
