Default Fraser Smith carved quilts--ever seen these?

I came across an article about this artist in a 10-yr old magazine and was intrigued by his work so googled it to see if he was still around and found this site. He creates fool-the-eye art by carving wood to mimic hanging clothing, hats, blankets, and especially quilts. I was fascinated and thought I would share. Here is the link: http://www.gofraser.com/index10.htm

I like some of his quilt designs. He should sell patterns!

Wow! how exquisite and fascinating all of his work is, it amazes me the extent of artistic talent and creativity we humans can dream up and create. Gives me a sense of hope for mankind.

I have seen his wooden quilt at the Quilt museum several times, when they told me to be sure to check out the wooden quilt, I went into the room looked around, no wooden quilt, but they did have a quilt hanging on the wall on a rather tacky rope with big rusty nails in the wall holding the rope. I marched back in to the desk to tell them there was no wooden quilt, they took me back in and pointed out the quilt that was hung on the tacky rope!! Boy oh boy you could have knocked me over with a feather, it looked so real! his work is just out of this world! a must see when you come to Paducah

I think we saw an exhibit of his pieces at Paducah a few years ago. My husband was with me and he is a woodcarver. We were both very impressed with the quality and "realness" of his work.

I've seen one at the quilt museum in Paducah. It was glorious. I didn't realize it was not a quilt at first.
