Default FREE Forties Chevron quilt pattern, easy, scrappy with brights and solids, 1 block

Here's a link for a free pretty Forties Chevron quilt pattern. It's an easy one-block design, with just a large (4 7/8") half-square triangle, then cleverly arranged to form chevron design.

I grabbed up some of my scraps, and started a little baby quilt for my niece. Here's what I've got so far. (I only had pink solid on hand, so mine is a variation of the pattern. It's too hard for me to wait when I'm in the mood to sew!)

I adore chevrons and I just got a big bundle of repro fabrics!! Guess what I'm gonna do???

ETA: I love your fabrics, and I may use a cream muslin to tie in all my repros. I think a single solid looks really good!

Oh, this is a great way to use those wonderful '30s and '40s fabrics. Your quilt so far is just charming!

Darling quilt. I'm saving the info on the pattern. Would love to try one after the holidays. Thanks for sharing.
