Free pattern that uses the Cozy Quilt "Strip Tube Ruler"
Was looking for free patterns tonight and found this one. I have the Strip Tube Ruler and am always looking for ways to use it. I am going to try a scrappy with this one since it uses light and dark strips.

Check out the Cozy Quilt website ... they usually have a Strip Tube pattern or two there.
Also, there is (or at least used to be) one on the Missour Star site.

(and for those interested, I did not buy the ruler ... they told you in the pattern to just use a regular square ruler, and turn it on point)

I just ordered the ruler. Never heard of it before but it sounds like something I desperately need. I have a hard time with HSTs. But the directions say if you want a 2 1/2" square, cut two fabrics 2 1/2" and place the ruler at 3 1/2". Sounds confusing. I'm sure it comes with directions, so hopefully I won't be confused.

Absolutly..IMHO not enough emphisis is put on this fact in the videos that accompany this ruler. For newer quilters this is real important information. Be sure to handle your fabric like its soft butter or you will stretch it out of shape.
