I purchased the original pattern and the instructions are terrible. My quilting friend, far more experienced than I, also said the instructions were very bad. I wasted some nice material on my original attempt and almost gave up on finding instructions that made more sense but the instructions given on SewWeQuilt are so clear and the pictures are very clear. Now I'm ready to try again. I really tried to find better instructions and was thrilled to find this tutorial.

These instructions from SewWeQuilt are so superior to the original pattern that it is unbeliveable. My first try was a total disaster, but this tutorial is so easy to understand and I'm so happy because I wanted to make this quilt, but was afraid to waste any more fabric with the original pattern being so confusing. My friend who has been quilting far longer than me also felt that the original pattern was very poorly explanatory.

Thanks so much for posting this link! I first saw this runner at the first of the year while out in Salt Lake City and thought the pattern looked complicated. This posting made me rethink this. Thanks.
