Welcome to the Quilting Board!

thank you , love design
This looks so cool, can you do it without the tool? I've checked uk websites and no one seems to stock it![]()
You can make your own, if you are able to find these in the UK: http://www.shopfonsandporter.com/pro...-and-templates I bought the pack of these rulers and made them in the different sizes but can still use them for doing fussy cuts.
Hope these images will help you figure out how and where the X needs to be. https://www.google.com/search?q=make...iw=853&bih=375
And the google search should help you too! Here is the link: https://www.google.com/search?q=make...e=utf8&oe=utf8
I love the finished blocks that the tool gives, but it looks like it may waste a lot of fabric. Am I missing how the remaining cut away fabric is being used?
Deb Watkins - I woke up today on the right side of dirt. It is a good day.
You can then use the smaller twister ruler on the left over, just have to be careful when you cut out the bigger ones and make a mini version of the same pattern. Some will make a hot pad or table mat out of them with the smaller ruler. Or they will use the smaller cut out twister in the boards, like in the corners.
What it means is that you take the next size smaller Twister tool and place it on the waste and cut around all four sides of the tool and you will have squares that you can use for another project. You said you'd like to do a dog and other animals. There are other animals out there that are already Twister patterns. Some Twister animals that are patterns are: bunny, crab, ladybug, turkey, owl, cat, dog and spider.
I have somewhere and believe it's in with the Fons and Porter fussy cut rulers what size template to use with what size block. I will look and post it here for all in a few days.
Since I don't own the twister rulers from C S Design, I can't give you the block size for them yet I'm sure the block size would be about the same for most of them. I know my friend owns all of the CS Design twister rulers and seem the block square size is the same.
