I can't decide if I should chance waiting or go on and pay shipping...or which one to buy for that matter!

Your link really led me nowhere. Says Tuesday Morning, had six items showing and wouldn't go anywhere else.
got the one I have been looking at for a long time...

My daughter gave me a book on the Gees Bend quilts, it was a very interesting read. I made two of the quilts from kits for my daughters for Christmas last year. I washed the fabrics in the solution you use for hand dyed fabrics (sorry, can't think of the name) and also used dye catchers. One of the quilts that had red in it still bled into the other colors. I always wash my quilts after I finish them so I can catch any problems before I give them away. So after crying for a bit, I bought other fabric in the colors and remade the quilt. So, just a warning about the hand dyed red.
I dye a lot of fabric. I just finished a baby quilt that I decided to add a wine colored strip into the backing. I forgot that I had dyed and over-dyed it. Apparently I didn't wash it enough because it ran all over the place. My Kona snow is pinkish, the prints are muddied. I was a little upset, but, decided since it's a baby girl quilt, everyone will think I planned it that way.
Boy, do I know that I will always ALWAYS keep washing my dyed fabrics until they run clear.
Sorry about your GB quilt, but, thanks for the red reminder.

Doing the happy dance! We are finally getting a Tuesday Morning up in the Nashua, NH area!!! Hear it's a great store. Set to open mid-May and I can't wait. Yay!

The only place that housework comes before quilting is in the dictionary.
I don't know if you have shopped there before or not...it's a great store! We are lucky enough to have 3 stores locally, and I am never disappointed in their selection, though it is always different. Basically, if you see something you want and it's a good deal, you have to snag it. It probably won't be there when you go back.
I got my kit today. It got here sooner than tracking said it was due for delivery. The fabrics are very nice, a little mottled as hand dyed fabrics are. The thing that strikes me most is how tightly woven it is...sort of like batik. I'm going to get it washed up and ready for piecing--probably after Derby since we have family coming from out of state. I hope everyone else is as pleased with their kits as I am!

Thanks! The link did work for me. That seems like a really good price. I just have so many solids still that I would probably not purchse a kit.
Which one is your favorite? I like this one the best I think.

Sorry about that...I had trouble with the site earlier today, but, it's opening fine for me now. Maybe this one will work: https://www.tuesdaymorning.com/crafts.jsp
It seemed like a deal to me, too. I ordered the blocks and stripes kit this afternoon, knowing that if I waited to see if it was in my store I might miss my chance. I have lots of solids, too--but, not any hand dyed fabrics from Gee's Bend. I can't wait to get it now!
I wonder though if there is a source for their hand dyed fabric by the yard for backing?
Must go investigate...

Funny this was just mentioned in our quilt group yesterday. I had never heard of Gee's Bend before then. Thanks for this link.
