    Gen X 2014 BOM - Vis Versa

Anyone else going for this? I did her BOM last year, and I really prefer her style to Quiltville's traditional sets. Most of her work is pretty scrappy, this year might work scrappy but it's written with yardage and that's my preferred method anyway.

The call this year is for pretty stark differences in colors, similar value. I'm doing one that way, one in my favorite colors for my place - ok, so it's all going to be gray. Black, charcoal, mid gray, pale gray, even paler gray that's almost white. Not sure on background/sashing yet - might go with a very very pale blue I have, may kick the ultra pale gray out and use a very pale pink there and the ultra pale gray as background/sashing, may get something new. I did her Horsefly quilt in the grays and very pale blue, so I'm not sure if I want to match that or something a little different.

Why yes, I need to work on 5 BOM/Mystery quilts at one time. Plus NYD mystery. And maybe others.

I saw it and immediately thought of Halloween. Shocking, I know. The pale grey spider web fabric on the top left will be my sashing and I have two of the black spider web fabrics - one black with green and purple webs and the other black with orange and purple webs. This should be a lot of fun.

And, if anyone sees or has any of the Northcott Sharon Reynolds Ghost in the Pumpkin Patch cream with white spider web fabric I want more. (It's the centre fabric in the photo.)

    Works4Me ... oh I like that combo!
For your cream fabric, could you post a better photo of what it is like?
I know that is hard to get, being that it is cream.

Thanks for the link to the Gen-X thread.

I like the looks of that Vice-Versa pattern ... quite unique and so many possible variations.
No commitment yet, though as a BOM, I just might decide to do it, when it starts up.
For now, I want to see if I can get my UFOs/PhDs under control, and then you might have me tag along!

Is someone going to lead this as a QB BOM thread?
    Hope so!

I hope you can join in QuiltE, fabric lover and Nathan's Mimi. I liked the one for 2013 but was hesitating. Now I know why as I like this one so much more. I especially like that the blocks are going to have a reverse colour version of each.

Thanks for the comment about the colour combo. It will definitely have some impact.

Here is a link to a shot of the cream fabric. It makes an amazing blender and is really versatile. I wish I had known that when I bought it.

Afraid I won't be able to lead a BOM. I will be amazed if I can even keep up myself. Plus, I know she is selling subscriptions so I don't know the etiquette involved.

W4Me ... Keep me going at doing my UFOs/PhDs and you just might get me to join you in this project. I really like it. Though mine will not be a Halloween one!
