Default Gingher Scissors Sharpened

I've had my 8" Gingher shears for about 35 years. Always have taken real good care of them but they needed to be sharpened. I don't see the guys that used to set up at craft and quilt shows anymore so I sent them back to the manufacturer in Greensboro NC. It took a month but they did a wonderful job. They are just like new. I am very pleased. If you are interested the address is Forveson Corp., 322-D Edwardia Drive, Greensboro, NC 27409. Enclose a check for $12 for each pair you send and it includes return postage. Only thing I was disappointed in is that I thought they would send me a new box. They sent them back in my 35-yr old box with stains, pet chews, etc.

Thanks. I have Ginghers that are probably that old. I seldom use the pinking shears or my 8" shears. I mostly used the duckbill scissor. Love them.

Thanks for the information. My Gingher scissors aren't ready to be sharpened yet, but I made a note of the address and cost for future reference.

My sewing machine dealer sharpens scissors. You might see if yours does.

But think what memories are in that box! I would have enjoyed having it returned!

Awesome I hate to try and cut with dull scissors. Thanks for sharing.

I think getting them sharpened to the manufacturer's specs is key! Great you took the time to research where to send them. $12.00 is a deal! Good for you. Thanks for the information.
