    No I don't, but I have been longarming way before that gadget became popular, and I " know" how to judge my tensions just by the " feel" of the thread pull............comes with experience.....I guess....but for beginners it might be something to think about....

    I don't either, and I'm a new longarm quilter.
    I came into LA quilting with a very good understanding of tension (I fix vintage machines and am about to start fixing all machines for one of the local shops) but one of the videos I initially used was Jamie Wallen's and I recommend it to all my friends who have tension issues with their machines: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1mRhcquZTM

    They also talk about it on the Superior video that you posted, but I find Jamie easier to listen to than a "Staged" conversation.
