Oh my, what a buy for someone. I could just imagine the shipping charges to Maine plus Santa is really broke this year.

Oh Santa how I wish tonight,
that you would bring me this stash
tonight.

A stash so big I never consume,
so Santa just send me an amount
I can consume.

Andie :D :D :D

I didn't even know there was a quilt shop in Belle. Maybe that is why they are closing, did not advertise. Wrong time of the year for me to buy any of it.

Apparently this lady has a shop geared towards gifts shop items but had fabrics left over from quilt shop she owned in Florissant MO area and had been trying to sell it in her shop. She now says she needs space and wants to sell it all - I think if she would have adverized more on the quilting fabric end she may have had more business for it. Most people that quilt do not want to drive to Jefferson City for fabric if they dont have to!!!

Just found out more details on it - she has ll38 yards available @ 2.50/yard fabrics include Moda RJR Hoffman VIP and Jenny byere to name just a few!!! I am afraid its a little rich for my blood since she wants to sell it all in one shot!!! I do have another person from board that live in this area to go in with me but we have limited funds lol

Anyone in MO that wants to go in with us let me know by monday nite or tuesday morning at the latest. Could use about two more people. Our plan is to go see her as a unit with cash in hand and offer her 2.00/yd (maybe less) depending on quality of all the fabrics. We figure she is quite anxious to get rid of it since she has to inventory etc again by January 31 - Its the close of her business fiscal year and she doesnt want fabric in the new year!!! The way we have it figured at the 2.50/yd with 4 people it would be 570. each. Amuch more doable amount. I am willing to drive some to meet anyone about halfway to where they live in MO to save on postage-Our thoughts is that each person would get 1/4 of the larger bolts. The ones with small amounts say less than 4 yards would be given out in the order in which we signed up. Me then Mary then whoever else there may be. This way no one is stuck with just the leftovers!!! thanks cheryl :D
If you are unable to to be at the "meeting" then money can be paypaled or money order sent overnite so we have the cash on hand!!! Cash will speak volumes. Think about it. Ypu may even have someone to go in with you but then we will consider it still a 4 way split and you anbd your partner would have to split the share of fabric your way-if we are all there there could be fabric I am not interested in at all and the cuts maybe larger I hate to see this just go without at least trying!!! May even consider a bigger split say the most 5 Otherwise the fabric would be in so small of amounts that it would be unusable. (full bolt of 10 yds would be 2 yards - not bad but if less than that it will figure smaller yardage foir each person)
