Thread: great video for quilting a large quilt on a domestic machine

I posted earlier today without giving credit to this great video. I was researching how to quilt a large quilt on a domestic sewing machine, and this video was sooooo helpful.

I used to roll my quilts, but this one suggested not to do that. I remember my sister telling me the same thing when I first started quilting, but I forgot that advice. But it worked really well for me. It is only a 6 minute video, and it gave me the confidence to tackle my first queen sized quilt. The largest I had done before was a twin size.

Thanks for the link, watched it... I don't really like to do STID but it's nice to see how she prepares her work to quilt it.

I don't roll my quilts either, rather I kinda puddle the quilt around my machine. I don't do STID either, I prefer FMQ.

If you have an adjustable ironing board or couple tv trays to set off to the side that will help with alleviating the pull of the quilt. I enjoy Wendi's videos.
