This is an excellent video. I think the idea of "bulk" at the seams deters quilters from using this technique. Wendi shows us that, with a good press, the seam lies flat without bulk. I'm going to try this since I quilt all my quilts using FMQ. Thanks for posting the link!
This is a good idea. I'm trying to decide what to do with my BoTM squares, since some need a lot of decorating and some very little. Also, some barely have the 1/4" on the points and I could sew the seam a little smaller this way. Thanks for sharing.

Love the video! It was so clear and easy to follow. I am doing a BOM right now and will definitely try this. thanks for the video suggestion. Betsy-Boo (Freezing in (Illinois)
Thanks for the link. I've been looking for an easier way to do QAYG.

I watched this but am being dense.....how does the backing get sewn?
I think after the top is pieced, she quilts it to the backing with some simple stitch in the ditch down the main seam lines, then binds in the traditional way, I'd guess.

Wow, thank you so much for this links. I would never have thought to sew through the front and batting and not the backing. I signed up for more :-)
Thanks for the link! I am going to try this technique, it will be a great way to use up some of my smaller pieces of batting. I have done the QAYG with the backing already attached but this looks a little quicker.
