Welcome to the Quilting Board!

This is way too cool a method not to share.

it's a great way to make a scrappy star block, thanks for taking the time to share this with us.
put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.
Interesting technique using layer cakes.
That's pretty cool. Hunter's Star is on my to-do list.
People who start projects and never finish them are cooler
than people who never start projects at all.

I think this would lend its self well to converting into a paper pieced pattern.

https://equiltpatterns.com/Hunters-S...%20star&page=7 I bought this one and have used it a lot, but there is a free one here: http://www.quilterscache.com/H/HuntersStarBlock.html
I have made a few but do prefer using the PP method, better results IMO although I did appreciate the layer cake method.
Awesome link!

Thanks for posting.
Thanks for sharing. I printed it off because I have a layer cake hanging around waiting to be used & also it is a cool way to do the Hunters Star. Should be fun!
