Default identifying quilt blocks

I am researching the name of a block and came across this website...it is really cool...I even have a couple of the same booklets! So fun to see just how old these blocks are and where they came from!

Neat site. Thanks for sharing. How did they make such complicated blocks without even graph paper, much less EQ!!

They folded paper into sections, cut the shapes, drew around them, added seam allowance and sewed together.

Ditto! I once was able to borrow Barbara Brackman's massive quilt block volume from a library. So many so very complicated blocks!

I have Barbara Brackman's Blockbase and I am amazed at the blocks our fore mothers made with no rotary cutters and either no sewing machines or very simple ones.

Thanks for sharing the site.
