If you've been wondering how to use old doilies .....
Then you might want to check this one out for something unique!!

http://www.dufferinmuseum.com/current/index.html
Scroll down to "Not Your Grandma’s Corset"
and click for a larger view

And if you want to see how this ties with history, take a look at the real 1890 version that was the inspiration ...
http://www.dufferinmuseum.com/current/index.html

And while there, take a look around at the rest of the show for some inspiration. It's in an interesting setting, as the Museum is housed within a new-1994 barn structure, typical of Southern Ontario's many century barns, still in use today.

No, I haven't been, but do plan on going as part of my summer holiday plans of the Yours to Discover Shop Hop.

I need a little more help in opening the site beyond the first page. Could you help me?

I see the problem ... it's one of those sites that does not give links to each page ... try this link instead

Thanks, I was interested because I pick up doilies here and there at thrift shops and garage sales.

I was able to find both pictures with your added link. That 1890's one is amazing! I couldn't imagine having to wear something like that all day, every day! Yuck!

Thanks for sharing....that corset was so cute!! I have stacks of doilies (I make them when I'm not quilting) and enjoy seeing what people create with them.
