    This is wonderful, and so timely for me because I have been looking for a gift idea for someone special. I think I will add a circle cut from a plastic lid to give the bottom a little more support.

    Found the answer. I watched the video again and she said 36 strips. Thanks anyways.

    Cool video. You could also use her method for other purses an add a zipper & handles instead of the pull cords.
