    Jelly rolls

I subscribe to Liz Katsuro's site. She sells jelly rolls. She has asked her customers to send her pictures of quilts they made using the jelly rolls. So far she has 3 files of pictures. Here's her note linking to the third file, with another to come. Lots of good ideas for using jelly rolls.

"Just a quick note - the 3rd installment of our customer submitted
jelly roll photo gallery is done! View it here:

I subscribe to Liz Katsuro's also. Her jelly rolls only have 20 in them. I am very new to quilting, I am making a Christmas table runner. I want to make a quilt. I like the quilts from the link you put above. To make a full size quilt, how many of her jelly rolls should I buy? Everyone is talking about fat quarters, how many of those would make a full size quilt? How many of each color pattern? I hope I'm not being a pain in the neck.
    HAPPY QUILTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great pictures,BUT the quilt the little lady is holding looks like the pieces are MUCH wider than a standard jelly roll width.

If you enlarge the little ladys quilt the jelly roll of same color were sewn together to make a 4 inch square.

I don't know as I have never made a quilt with them. However, each strip is 2.5" wide and approx 40+" long so, depending on the design you choose and the measurements of your quilt, you should be able to make a pretty good approximation of how many you need.

I use her jelly rolls and have made several quits with them. I find using just one 20 strip set will make a nice size baby quilt using the "jelly roll race" way of putting it together. Appliques on this after it is put together is really nice also.

I was not aware of her or her fabrics but I was very impressed. I will definitely be looking at her site.
