Default Laser Light

Yesterday I was straight line quilting on an Irish Chain quilt. Quilting from corner to corner across the rows. I had often heard many of you state that you had gotten a laser light from Harbor Freight. I went to Harbor Freight yesterday and for $6 I got a stick on laser light. How convenient! Why did I wait so long to get one? If anyone else wonders if it is worth the $6, go get one. I don't have to mark the straight lines any more and they come out perfect.

Is this what you bought? Looks wonderful! Wonder if Home Depot has them.

sophie, would you be able to let us See how it works, some photos?

All I can imagine is the light pointing down where the needle is going up and down.
I would Love to have a good way to quilt hanging diamonds and cross hatching. Thank you

I will try to get pictures tomorrow. I put the lazer starting at the needle and the beam in front of the needle shows where you should stitch. I went from point to point on squares that were set on point and had no problem.

Mine came with a double sided tape circle that you attach one side to the machine and the other side of the circle to the lazer. I cleaned my machine area with alchol but not the lazer light. Be sure you clean both areas to make it stick the best.

How easy is it to change the battery? And how long is the battery life? I have read many cons about the battery life of these.

Not sure what the battery life is - just got it and started using it yesterday. As far as the ease of changing - it is just like a flashlight. Unscrew the end and place three batteries (they were supplied with the laser light) in, screw end back on and you are in business.
