I don't think it needs to be definitely Moda as long as it is a quality of fabric like Moda so that all the blocks work out ok.

I have a question. On the example they say to sign your name and then in another area your state. I was just wondering, do you sign your full name or just your first name?

Just your first name or even a nick name would be what I would write on the label. I don't think I would want my last name on it, or you could leave as an annonomous sender.
