Kitchen supplies in the sewing room.

Clever idea. I have lots of hardware supplies, but no kitchen supplies. http://seekatesew.com/uncommon-sewin...-cake-froster/
I promise not to buy any more fabric until I see something I really like. Or it's on sale. Or I think it might match something.

Thanks for the info. I would NEVER have thought to use one of my icing spatulas. So glad folks are willing to share their interesting tips.
If you will continue down the page there is also some good info about sewing with metallic thread. I found it very helpful.

What a great idea. You earn a great deal of points in my book. Hope I can remember this when I get ready to iron those pesky seams. Thank you.

I have a cheese dip knife/spreader I use to hold down the seam allowances for close encounters with a hot iron.

That's a great idea, especially since I never remember to use the cheese spreader to spread cheese

Found how to re-make a sweatshirt into a neat hoodie, what a great idea.

Chop stick. You can get them free at Chinese Rest. I use mine as a stiletto, can help me hold things down or turn out corners.
