Here's a pretty cool site, you do need to join to get there free patterns but oh so worth it.

i am learning to crochet..i am making the preemie caps..for the hospital. i used my coupon(the ones i usually use on fabric!yikees!) and got some cotton yarn..to make dish cloths!

we started a michigan knitters and crocheters message board, and a facebook one too..they let me join, even though i was the only one who quilted! lol! then they started raggin on me,to learn..when we get together for show and tell once a month, and lunch..i was just watching them!
so now, i have something to do on the swing outside on the deck..!
thanks for the link! i will pass it on!

Good for you it's a fun thing to do when you can't bring the sewing machine with you.

I learned the dying art of tatting in 1997. It is also a craft you can take with you anywhere. All you have to have is a shuttle, thread, a scissors to cut thread (if you need to reload the shuttle, or cut when you finish)and a pattern if needed. Most are repetitive and its in your memory. You only need to learn one stitch and how to join. Everything else is easy. I even designed some patterns. Now I've started quilting and am gung ho on it. My tatting hasn't been completely forgotten though. I also embroider, crochet, and knit.

I have crocheted since I was 10 years old. Always fun to do when watching TV. Thanks for the link. Lots of cute things
