But for what? Continuing care is very expensive and she probably has to have medical and maybe continuing rehab care and its been 9 years. They could be needing more funds and reluctant to tap the quilting world again for it.

I just looked for some updates on her. I did find that she was back in the hospital for an extended stay in 2013 and who knows how many others. Poor thing. I hope she does well and that they get lots of money for the quilts so that they can give her the best care and not have to strap themselves to do it.

Her brain aneurysm and stroke was in 2013, not 9 years ago.

But I agree that I suspect she will continue to need extra care and that can get expensive very quickly.
