I am about to quilt a small lap quilt. its log cabins and am wondering if any of you talanted ladies have any suggestions or ideas on how to quilt this. I usually stitch in the ditch for these quilts but would like to do something a little bit different, hoping someone can help. :?: :?:

Similarly, you might want to take a look at the LC's in the gallery on this Board.

I think something with movement would be nice, like swirls or something like that.

I did one recently and wanted to do something different too. New to FM, but it was fun. I really like how the center came out.

I like the way Judy Martin's are often done - SITD round the darks and feathers in the light. The contrast of straight lines an curves works really well. Donna's is a similar take - and is beautiful BTW!

I'm having a log cabin done by a LAQ in Baptist Fan. Can't wait to see it.

I made one for my nephew when they got married - it was done with a meandering stitch, and not real close - so it was very cuddly, not stiff - and they loved it - use it all over the house - watching tv, or on the bed.... or while reading; most used wedding gift they got! :)
