Hey There
I'm proably, the first to see your post. I don't know of any patterns. I have a few ideas. But there are alot of PRO's that are on this board, that will help you in no time. Hang in there and keep checking.

Thank you for the idea.
I was thinking of putting pockets where I could change the pictures (slide them in the pocket) when I get new ones. They love to see their yearly school pictures hanging up. They check them out every time they come to vist.

you can buy sheet plastic on rolls. cut to preferred size, with a background fabric behind. (save time; cut both at once.) frame the squares (or rectangles) with plain, straight, strips; pieced strips; anything you want. just make sure to (1) sew the strip, plastic, and background fabric all at the same time; and (2) use a large zig-zag stitch for the seams. the stitching will permanently perforate the plastic. a straight-stitched seam might come apart too easily. zig-zag will be sturdier.
from that point, you can piece it like you would any other quilt. yor "patches" will be heavier, so the going will be slower and "clunkier" but if you take your time, it should do quite nicely.
this sounds to me like a good candidate for the rag quilt technique. plastic photo pockets on front, fringed/fuzzy seams on back.
