You only get their coupons if you join up for the emails. They even print your name on them.

Went to Joanns without a coupon the other day and asked if they had any in store. The manager gave me a 40% off and I hesitated about getting a whole unopened roll of batting, she asked if I wanted it for 50%off and I took it, then she even gave me another 5%off because I picked up some thread for full price. Wow. Never been treated so well. So ask if you want they can only say no if they can't give discount.
